This series of classes will offer guidance through functional movements which benefit our physical, emotional and spiritual well being and train our overall balance and inner awareness. No experience necessary. Based on various Taiji (Tai Chi) forms as well as Qigong (Chi-gong) breathing and patterned movements for breath practices and longevity. Krav Maga

A Matter of Balance

A Matter of Balance is an evidenced-based, award-winning program designed to help older adults reduce their fear of falling, increase confidence, and improve activity levels. Coaches from VCU Health lead interactive sessions to include group discussion, gentle exercise, and practice of problem-solving strategies to reduce the risk of falling.

Run-A-Latke Run Club for Adults

Join us on Sunday mornings at the JCC to train for the Run-A-Latke. Participants must be 18 years and older, but children are welcome to join the run club with the supervision of a guardian for free! This is a great way for the whole family to get active together.

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It is a fun and socially friendly game for all ages and abilities. Shallow Water Aerobics

This water aerobics class is great for adults looking for a fun, low-impact physical activity. During class you will perform various movements in shallow water to improve joint flexibility, range of motion, and muscle strength to the sound of up-beat music!

Tabata Training with Amy!

Join Amy for a shallow water Tabata workout. Her Tabata workout consists of 30 minutes of interval training that is a total body cardio blast! She will balance out this high energy workout with 15 minutes of mindful stretching designed to improve muscular flexibility and joint range of motion.

Deep Water Aerobics

This water aerobics class is great for adults looking for a fun, low-impact physical activity. During class you will perform various movements in 8-10 feet of water to improve joint flexibility, range of motion, and muscle strength. Aqua belts are provided and are required to participate.
