This popular theatre program for kids, ages 6-9, is back with a new twist! Those who long to be on the stage will love the “page to stage” experience where they will learn, rehearse and perform. Meanwhile, those who prefer to stay behind the scenes will appreciate learning the elements of a theatre production. They will all come together to present a 30-minute version of Disney’s “The Lion King” for friends and family on the last day of the class.

Calling all middle-schoolers, come hang out twice a month on Sundays for Ruach & Recreation, a brand-new, vibrant, meaningful, and movement-filled Jewish youth program, tailored for middle schoolers. Attendees will participate in age-appropriate activities that will provide social interaction, promote physical and emotional wellbeing and focus on community and service, all through a Jewish lens. Events will take place at the Weinstein JCC as well as other locations within the Richmond area.

The Pottery Club program is designed to introduce children to the art of clay handbuilding. Each week, students will explore new pottery techniques – pinch, coil, slab – while working on themed projects that are fun, age-appropriate and imaginative. The program emphasizes creativity, tactile learning and self-expression while giving children the excitement of taking home glazed and kiln-fire ceramic pieces they will treasure.

Drop off your K-5th grader for a fun Saturday night at the J! Kids can choose between swimming or games in the gym, enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner, and indulge in an ice cream sundae party. The evening wraps up with a movie! We have dates available each month in January, February, and March. Rest easy knowing our trained Kids’ Place staff will be there to supervise throughout the night.
Join us for After School Art! This four week after-school art class has great projects every week. Join friends, old and new, for painting, drawing, mixed media, and other art projects.

These introductory classes are an excellent way for your child to learn foundational Hebrew skills. Your child will be introduced to Aleph Bet, Hebrew vocabulary, and Hebrew language skills through games, stories, and hands-on learning. Two sessions each week. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to build your child’s Ivrit (Hebrew) skills. Offered as a pilot program in partnership with Temple Beth-El.

We invite all 4- and 5-year-olds to have a great lunchtime art experience with the art specialist from Kids’ Place! Each day will be a different activity, feel free to sign up for any or all of dates!
Whether it’s a birthday, special celebration, or just a fun weekend activity, plan an unforgettable art party at the J! Our art specialist will work with you to create a custom experience based on your child’s interests. Choose from exciting themes like Color, Paint, Jewelry, or Slime, and enjoy a 60-minute guided creative session for up to 20 kids. Plus, you’ll have an extra 60 minutes in a private room (before or after the activity) for snacks, games, or more fun!
