Running, climbing, exploring, dancing, swimming, and lots of giggling—it’s all part of your little one’s day when they’re at Camp Ganim. Designed specifically for children ages two through five, this fun day camp offers children a summer filled with fun interactions with nature, swimming, art, water play, music, gardening and more, with a group of great friends and caring counselors.
Registration for camp 2018 will open for Weinstein JCC members later in January and on February 5 for non-members. And mark your calendars for our Members-Only Registration Day on Sunday, February 4 from 12-2PM!
In preparation for another great summer, check out a recap video of all the fun we had in 2017 at Camp Ganim!
Whether you’d like the community service hours to meet school requirements, or you just love being around children, this is your opportunity for a great volunteer experience. The Ganim Volunteer Corps (GVC) lets you volunteer with preschool camp groups to help you learn valuable life skills. Youth in grades 7-12 will be placed in a Camp Ganim group in the morning to assist the counselors and will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills working with young campers. This program will help meet school volunteer requirements. Participants are required to f ill out the GVC application. For more information about GVC, contact Lily Ocasio at 285-6500, ext. 8115.
The Weinstein JCC’s Early Childhood Department brings preschool children with special needs a very special summer. We offer an inclusive Early Childhood and camp program for children enrolled in our preschool/childcare program during the current school year. If your little camper is currently enrolled in our upcoming 2017–2018 preschool year and is receiving outside support services (OT/PT, Speech, etc.), he or she is eligible for this unique program. A pre-application meeting is required for all children with special needs who aren’t currently in the 2016-2017 preschool year. To determine eligibility, and to begin developing and implementing support strategies, a meeting is required for new children entering our program during summer camp. Call Melissa Bunce, Director of Inclusion and Support Services, at (804) 545-8658 to schedule a meeting.
