Andrew Biddle

Background

Andrew was born and raised in the Richmond area. Andrew first got involved with physical fitness in high school and he never looked back. He decided to devote his career to fitness and recreation; beginning personal training in 2017, he has been involved in all aspects of the fitness and recreation industry since then working at myriad gyms and recreation organizations. Andrew currently works in aquatics, helping to deliver swimming instruction to people around Richmond. He also looks forward to helping improve peoples’ quality of life on land via fitness. Regardless of an individual’s fitness goals, Andrew is passionate about sharing his knowledge about fitness to achieve them

His belief is that anyone can be taught these methods through proper teaching of the movement mechanics using encouragement and correction along the way. John is a seasoned fitness professional with a lifelong dedication to the field. From his high school days of participating in three sports to completing multiple Ironman Triathlons and an Ultra marathon, he has consistently pushed his physical boundaries. Specializing in Functional Fitness, John has successfully trained individuals ranging from 9 to 65 years old, employing dynamic and varied movements at high intensity. Guided by the belief that proper instruction, encouragement, and correction are key, John helps others master these methods.

Michael has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and decided to move to Richmond to pursue his passion for fitness. He graduated from VCU (May 2021) with a bachelor’s in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science with a Minor in Business. With his knowledge of exercise and nutrition it helped him lose over 100 pounds. Michael has had success with clients ranging from high school age all the way to seniors. Michael Hall has been in athletics most of his life. As a youth he has been involved with 9 different sports ranging from school’s intermural to semi-professional level. As an adult he’s competed in several 10K’s and one half-marathon.

A lifelong Richmond native, Linda took an early interest in body building at the age of 22. Her progression in the sport soon led her to successfully compete in bodybuilding competitions a few years later. Linda would go on to win bench press competitions and even set a world record for the sport.

During this time, it seemed a natural progression to share the knowledge and expertise acquired over the years by helping others reach their fitness goals. For over two decades, she has helped hundreds of people achieve their health & fitness goals through safe, effective, and personalized training.

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Karen moved to a variety of places until finally landing in the Richmond area in 2006. She has been in the fitness industry since 1984, and was a competitive body builder from 1990-2012. She spent 5 years working in the fitness center at West Point Military Academy (1995-2000) and has been at the Weinstein JCC for over 11 years.

Karen has worked with clients of all ages and abilities over her 30+ years as a trainer and continues to enjoy helping each client achieve their best results.

Shannon was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY where sports, health, and wellness have always been a part of her life. She went on to play soccer in college and still plays today.

After working in different fields, Tim chose to pursue his real passion – fitness. The JCC provided him with his first opportunity to train and inspire others. It continues to be a wonderful journey.

Tim’s experiences over the past 7 years have given him a true understanding of the body/mind dynamic: great things happen when motivation (desire) meets commitment (drive).
