The Carole and Marcus Weinstein Jewish Community Center (“Weinstein JCC”) is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for everyone. The following policies help ensure an outstanding experience for our members, guests, staff and community.
To promote safety and comfort for all, individuals using Weinstein JCC facilities or participating in programs are expected to follow these guidelines:

Facility Guidelines
Check-In: Members ages 12 and older are required to check in at the Front Desk with their membership ID card each visit.
Supervision: Children under 12 must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Children ages 12 and older may be on their own except in the Fitness Center and are expected to follow the same rules. Ages 13–15 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the Fitness Center and complete a fitness orientation. Children ages 12 and under are not permitted in the Fitness Center.
Play by the Rules: Whether using the gym, pool or other areas of the facility, members and guests must follow all posted schedules and rules.
Guest Passes: Each membership unit receives three complimentary guest passes annually from September 1 through August 31. Guests must be accompanied by a JCC member, sign in at the Front Desk, present identification and complete the safety waiver form. After the three complimentary passes have been used, guest passes may be purchased for $15/day for guests ages 12 and older and $5 for children under 12.

Cell phone use for any purpose is prohibited in locker rooms, restrooms, the whirlpool, sauna and steam room.
Phone and video calls are prohibited in the Fitness Center. Please take necessary calls in the lobby or outside the building.
Disruptive behavior is grounds for removal from Weinstein JCC property and revocation of facility-use privileges without refund. Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:
Persons listed on the National Sex Offender Registry are not permitted on JCC property. The JCC reserves the right to require satisfactory identification and conduct background checks on individuals on its property or attending its programs or events.
Service animals are permitted in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. The JCC may inquire whether a service animal is required because of a disability and what tasks or work it has been trained to perform. Service animals must remain under control at all times and are not permitted in JCC pools. Animals that do not meet the criteria for service animals are not permitted inside the JCC. Animals on outdoor JCC property must be on a leash held by a responsible adult, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them.
Individuals may use—and employees may provide supervision in—gender-specific JCC facility areas consistent with their gender identity.
The JCC reserves the right to search any person and property at any time.
The JCC reserves the right to take and use photographs, videos and likenesses of individuals in its facility, on its property or participating in its programs for marketing and publicity purposes. Additional information is provided in the Photography, Video & Media Usage Policy below.
The JCC may use collected contact information to send automated security alerts, marketing and informational messages, appointment confirmations and billing reminders via phone, text message and/or email.
These Terms of Use and other JCC policies may be updated from time to time. Policy changes will be posted on the JCC website and sent via email. Individuals are responsible for providing a working email address and notifying the JCC if it changes or otherwise checking the JCC website for policy updates.
Violation of these Terms of Use may result in removal from JCC property, cancellation of membership or program enrollment, and denial of future access to JCC property and programs.
Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Memberships automatically renew at current rates, payable on the first day of the month.
New memberships require a one-year commitment. After the initial 12-month term, membership automatically continues on a monthly basis.

Members acknowledge the JCC’s Photography, Video & Media Usage Policy contained within these Terms.
Membership is a privilege that may be revoked with or without cause at any time by the CEO, Director of Membership or Board of Directors.
Members must shower before entering the whirlpool.
Warning: Please consult your primary care physician before using the sauna, steam room or whirlpool.
Pregnant women, elderly persons, individuals with heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, or those using prescription medications should not enter the whirlpool, sauna or steam room without prior medical consultation and permission from their physician.
Do not use the whirlpool, sauna or steam room while under the influence of alcohol, anticoagulants, antihistamines, vasoconstrictors, vasodilators, stimulants, hypnotics, narcotics or tranquilizers.
Limit sessions to 15 minutes. Exit immediately if you experience nausea, dizziness or fainting and seek medical assistance if necessary.
Cell phone use, photography and videography are prohibited.
Stay hydrated and use these amenities at your own risk.
The Weinstein JCC collects electronic payment information for recurring and one-time fees, including credit card, debit card and bank account (EFT) information.
By placing electronic payment methods on file, account holders authorize the JCC to use them to settle outstanding debts or fees related to memberships, program registrations and donations without specific prior authorization.
Account holders authorize their bank or financial institution to honor Electronic Funds Transfers, credit card charges and/or debit card charges initiated by the JCC for membership, programs, contribution pledges or merchandise sales.
If an electronic or check payment—including EFT and debit/credit card transactions—is not honored for any reason, the JCC may charge up to $35 per returned payment and may resubmit the amount due, plus applicable fees, using any electronic payment method on file.
Authorization remains in effect until revoked in writing. If authorization is revoked, the JCC may collect all fees owed immediately and cancel future programs and services.
In some circumstances, the JCC may issue account credits for future goods and services. The JCC may apply such credits to outstanding debts and future obligations, including recurring membership and childcare fees. Account credits may be used for fees collected by the JCC and expire one year from issuance.
Membership: Memberships are subject to the Membership Agreement above, including automatic renewal, cancellation requirements and non-transferability.
Changes in Programs/Activities: Registration may be changed to a similar program up to two weeks before the program begins, subject to an administrative fee of no more than $50. Changes made within two weeks of the activity are non-refundable.
Missed Payments: An unpaid balance over 30 days may result in loss of facility access. An unpaid balance over 60 days may result in membership termination.
Multipasses: Multipasses expire six months from the date of issuance. Purchasers are responsible for monitoring the expiration date and arranging appointments to use prepaid sessions within the permitted timeframe.
Credit Card Processing Fee: Effective August 1, 2026, all credit card charges incur a 3% usage fee surcharge. Payments made by ACH/e-check do not incur this fee.
Membership ID Cards: Members receive one complimentary initial ID card. Replacement cards are $10 each.
Participants who cancel registration for a program or activity are eligible for a 50% refund until two weeks before the program/activity begins. Cancellations within two weeks of the start date are non-refundable.
This policy applies to, but is not limited to, Qigong, Tai Chi, Strength and Tone for Women, A Matter of Balance and Preschool Yoga.
Specific programs and activities may have separate cancellation policies.
This policy does not apply to childcare closures due to inclement weather, holidays or other temporary extenuating circumstances.
Camp cancellations and refunds may be permitted according to the cancellation and refund policy specified in that summer’s camp brochure. Otherwise, refunds are not provided for participant cancellations or failure to attend.
Membership refunds are not offered regardless of actual facility usage.

Arts + Ideas event tickets are non-refundable unless the program is canceled or rescheduled. Tickets may be exchanged for a different date of the same show, if available.
The Weinstein JCC regularly photographs, records and captures video of activities, programs, events and facility spaces for promotional, educational, historical and community-building purposes.
Images and recordings may be used in print publications, advertisements, social media, websites, email communications, digital displays, news media, fundraising materials and other JCC communications.
Participation in JCC programs, events, camps, classes and activities constitutes acknowledgment that photographs, video and audio recordings may be taken in public or group settings.
Photographs and videos of adult members, participants, guests, volunteers and event attendees may be used by the JCC to promote programs, services, events and community activities.
As a matter of practice, the JCC does not identify individuals by name in advertising or promotional materials without permission and will not tag individuals on social media without their consent.
Members with privacy, safety or other special concerns may contact the Marketing Department to discuss reasonable accommodations. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The JCC takes special care when using photographs and videos of children participating in camps, preschool, afterschool, youth sports and other youth programs.
Only a limited selection of photos may be shared publicly through JCC marketing channels, including social media, print materials, websites, email communications and advertisements. The JCC does not identify children by name in promotional materials and will not tag children or families on social media without prior permission.
Most photos taken during Camp Hilbert and Specialty Camps are shared privately with families through invitation-only albums in CampInTouch. Ganim families receive classroom photos and updates through the secure Brightwheel app.
The JCC understands that individuals may have legal, safety or privacy concerns regarding photographs or videos.
While the JCC cannot guarantee that an individual will never appear incidentally in group photographs, event coverage or background images, requests to limit or prohibit use of an individual’s likeness in promotional materials will be reviewed and honored whenever reasonably possible.

Participation in Weinstein JCC programs and activities and use of JCC facilities involves inherent risks that cannot be eliminated despite reasonable safety precautions.
Members and participants are advised to consult their physician before participating in exercise, fitness, wellness, aquatic, recreational or other physical activities offered by the Weinstein JCC.
Members and participants are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate in JCC programs and activities. As a condition of participation and facility use, members and participants acknowledge and voluntarily assume the risks of injury, illness or property loss associated with participation or facility use, including use of fitness equipment, pools, gyms, saunas, steam rooms, whirlpools, athletic facilities and outdoor spaces.
As provided in the applicable membership, registration or participation agreement, members and participants release, waive and discharge the Carole and Marcus Weinstein Jewish Community Center (“Weinstein JCC”), its directors, officers, employees, volunteers, agents and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses or liabilities arising out of or related to participation in JCC programs and activities or use of JCC facilities, except where prohibited by law.
Members and participants further agree, as provided in the applicable agreement, to indemnify and hold harmless the Weinstein JCC from claims arising from their actions or the actions of any minor for whom they are legally responsible while participating in JCC programs or using JCC facilities.
Formal acknowledgment and acceptance of applicable Weinstein JCC terms, policies, waivers and releases occurs as part of the membership, program registration or participation process, as applicable.
