Andrew Biddle

Background

Andrew was born and raised in the Richmond area. Andrew first got involved with physical fitness in high school and he never looked back. He decided to devote his career to fitness and recreation; beginning personal training in 2017, he has been involved in all aspects of the fitness and recreation industry since then working at myriad gyms and recreation organizations. Andrew currently works in aquatics, helping to deliver swimming instruction to people around Richmond. He also looks forward to helping improve peoples’ quality of life on land via fitness. Regardless of an individual’s fitness goals, Andrew is passionate about sharing his knowledge about fitness to achieve them

His belief is that anyone can be taught these methods through proper teaching of the movement mechanics using encouragement and correction along the way. To quote Greg Glassman, “The Magic is in the Movement, the art is in the programming, the science is in the explanation, and the fun is in the community.”

Michael has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years and decided to move to Richmond to pursue his passion for fitness. He graduated from VCU (May 2021) with a bachelor’s in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science with a Minor in Business. With his knowledge of exercise and nutrition it helped him lose over 100 pounds. Michael has had success with clients ranging from high school age all the way to seniors. Michael Hall has been in athletics most of his life. As a youth he has been involved with 9 different sports ranging from school’s intermural to semi-professional level. As an adult he’s competed in several 10K’s and one half-marathon.

For over two decades, she has helped hundreds of people achieve their health & fitness goals through safe, effective, and personalized training.

Background

Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Karen moved to a variety of places until finally landing in the Richmond area in 2006. She has been in the fitness industry since 1984, and was a competitive body builder from 1990-2012. She spent 5 years working in the fitness center at West Point Military Academy (1995-2000) and has been at the Weinstein JCC for over 11 years.

Karen has worked with clients of all ages and abilities over her 30+ years as a trainer and continues to enjoy helping each client achieve their best results.

Sean Solon

Background

Sean is a dedicated personal trainer originally from St. Louis, Missouri, with a strong love for fitness and a greater commitment to helping others achieve their health goals. He has a background in Exercise Science from Rockhurst University, but has also gained hands-on
knowledge being a personal trainer for the past two years. He continues to further his education and remains current on new training techniques. 

Having worked with varying ages of clients, Sean’s experience spans from young athletes seeking to become better in their sport to those who wish to break their sedentary lifestyle. A notable role was at Redline Athletics, where he specialized in training young athletes enhancing their sport performance through safe and effective movements. 

Implementing plyometric exercises, helping athletes build agility, strength, and coordination for various sports. There is no difference between an athlete and someone who just wants to get back in shape. All have the mindset of self improvement. In addition to working with those in sports, 

Sean has focused his career on helping individuals who have become stagnant or those who are struggling with physical limitations. Whether clients are recovering from injury, reentering the fitness world, or simply looking to improve their general health. Sean’s goal is to make fitness approachable and accessible. All programs are personalized with your safety and goals being the number one priority. 

Outside of his professional life, Sean practices what he preaches. He once was a baseball player, now turned half-marathon runner, completing two in the past year. Additionally, he loves golfing, watching the occasional football game, and being around others with a driven mindset. In having knowledge, experience, and personal dedication to health and wellness, Sean is committed to helping you achieve your fitness goals.

After working in different fields, Tim chose to pursue his real passion – fitness. The JCC provided him with his first opportunity to train and inspire others. It continues to be a wonderful journey.

Tim’s experiences over the past 7 years have given him a true understanding of the body/mind dynamic: great things happen when motivation (desire) meets commitment (drive).
