Level 1 orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatics skills. These skills include entering and exiting the water, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose, submerging, opening eyes underwater and retrieving submerged objects, front and back gliding, back floating, rolling from front to back and back to front, alternating and simultaneous arm and leg actions on front and back, combining arm and leg actions on front and back and age-appropriate water safety skills. .
