Preschool Aquatics Level 1

For first time young swimmers who are not yet comfortable in the water

Class size limited to 6

Level 1 orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatics skills. These skills include entering and exiting the water, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose, submerging mouth, nose and eyes, opening eyes underwater and retrieving submerged objects, front and back gliding, back floating, rolling from front to back and back to front, treading water, alternating and simultaneous arm and leg actions on front and back, combining arm and leg actions on front and back and age-appropriate water safety skills.

Combination Occurrence: In some cases, due to enrollment numbers or scheduling constraints, we may need to combine preschool level classes. When combining classes, we ensure that the curriculum and learning objectives are appropriate for all participants involved.

If your child is enrolled in half-day Weinstein JCC Preschool, then a JCC Aquatics staff member will pick up from preschool at 12:50PM. Parents/guardians will need to pick their swimmers from the pool.
