Hours of Operation
For first time young swimmers who are not yet comfortable in the water
Instructor: Aquatics staff
Ages 3 – 5
Level 1 orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatics skills. These skills include entering and exiting the water, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose, submerging mouth, nose, and eyes, opening eyes underwater and retrieving submerged objects, front and back gliding, back floating, rolling from front to back and back to front, treading water, alternating and simultaneous arm and leg actions on front and back, combining arm and leg actions on front and back and age-appropriate water safety skills.
For Tuesday Classes: If your child is in half-day preschool, a JCC Aquatics staff member will pick them up from the preschool hallway at 12:50 PM. Parents/guardians will need to pick their swimmers from the pool.
