Teen Opportunities

Service & Adventure All in One

Our teen camps are for youth in grades 7-12 and are geared towards helping campers develop leadership abilities through service, adventure, learning, and fun.

Counselors in Training Program (CIT)

Teens entering grades 9

Our Counselor in Training Program is a skill development camp for those entering 9th grade specializing in the vision and importance of leadership, work force skills and experience working with children. The CIT Program offers opportunities for CITs to socialize and engage with their peers while working as a member of a team through the participation in interactive activities and volunteering opportunities within the JCC Camps. This program offers long lasting memories, builds confidence and gives participants experiences that can be utilized for future employment.

CITs commit to a 4 week session of working alongside counselors, under the supervision of administrators as they take their first step towards becoming camp staff. Following the conclusion of the 4 week session, CITs are welcome to come to camp on a flexible basis to earn volunteer hours required by school.

We are so excited to continue this very important camp for our future leaders. Our priority and responsibility is to assist and prepare our youth. Come learn, serve, and grow with us!

CIT Program Includes

  • Time management
  • CPR/First aid
  • Emergency situations
  • Leadership skill and development workshop
  • Conflict resolution/communication
  • Team building
  • Outdoor survival skills
  • Volunteer with campers
  • Community service field trips

Voices Together Peer Camper

A part of Voices Togethers history has always been our teen volunteers in grades 7 through 12. These volunteers play an important role in making Voices Together the premier summer program for children on the Autism spectrum in Richmond. As a Peer Camper at Voices Together, you will be part of a full day camp program that will have you experiencing valuable skills, while working with our remarkable staff and amazing campers. No cost to peers, but an application is required.
