2024 Fife-Davis Family Annual Jewish Book Fair

In honor of National Jewish Book Month this November, we’ve curated an exceptional gathering of talented authors, all set to share their captivating stories with our vibrant community from November 4 to November 25, 2024.

Whether you choose to visit us in person for an engaging meet & greet with some of our esteemed local authors, or prefer the cozy comfort of your own home to participate in our thought-provoking virtual book talks, we’ve designed this celebration with everyone in mind.

Two book fair events promise to be as entertaining as they are informative.

Eddie Shapiro has had great success with his first two books of intimate, career-encompassing conversations with Broadway’s most prolific and fascinating leading men and women. Now, his latest book, Here’s to the Ladies, continues the detailed stories and reflections about the greats of musical theater. To add to the fun, we’ve called upon a few of Richmond’s most talented artists to perform the songs from some of the greatest musicals of all time.

For the foodies in the crowd, Rachel Gordin Barnett and Lyssa Kligman Harvey will present the stories of the food, family and traditions in Jewish South Carolina in their new book, Kugels and Collards. For some, it will be familiar and for others, something brand new! Bring your appetite for both learning and eating as Barnett and Harvey share the unique and diverse food history they’ve gathered while tasting all the flavors in a dinner created around actual recipes in the book.
