Exciting Fitness Center Upgrades Underway!
We’re giving the Fitness Center a fresh new look with updated flooring, fresh paint, enhanced lighting, and expanded spaces for programming!
Alternative Fitness Option During the Closure
While the Weinstein JCC Fitness Center is temporarily closed, JCC members enjoy complimentary access to the Weinstein Center for Recreation at the University of Richmond which is a convenient 10 minute (2.9 mile drive from the Weinstein JCC).

Weinstein Center for Recreation at University of Richmond Hours of Operation
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Closed: Sunday 5/11 and Monday 5/26
Access
- Please bring your Weinstein JCC ID each time you visit.
- You’ll sign in at the blue notebook labeled “JCC Members” when you arrive.
University of Richmond Address & Parking:
365 College Road, Richmond, VA 23173
Park in lot C66 (no parking pass required). Lot is across the street from the Robins Stadium and Robins Center and a short walk to Weinstein Center for Recreation. Follow signage.

Policies
- We ask that all JCC members follow University of Richmond’s usual policies, including thier child/dependent policy, which you can check out here: University Recreation Policies
Guests
- During this time, JCC members will not be able to bring guests.
Lockers, Sauna, Indoor Track, and Basketball Courts
- Day-use lockers are available in the student/community locker rooms—just bring your own lock and remember to remove it when you’re done! A co-ed sauna is also available, located between the men’s and women’s community locker rooms. Members can use the basketball courts based on availability; daily schedules are posted beside the courts. The indoor track is also available for use.
Towels
- The Weinsten Center for Recreation at University or Richmond DOES NOT offer towel service, but we encourage you to bring your own towel. They do sell a variety of towel sizes at the Member Services desk if needed.
IMPORTANT:
The following services WILL NOT be available at University of Richmond's Weinstein Recreation Center during this time:
- Group Exercise Classes
- Pool access will continue through Saturday, April 26 and will end when the Weinstein JCC pool reopens on Sunday, April 27.
- Scheduled equipment orientations are not available at this time, but staff are happy to answer any specific equipment questions you may have.
These Fitness Programs Will Continue at the Weinstein JCC During the Fitness Center Closure:
- Group Exercise Classes
- Small Group Training
- Personal Training
- Massage
- Pilates Reformer Training
Personal Training Sessions, and Pilates Reformer Sessions will be relocated to other available spaces within the Center. Specific details about these changes will be communicated with participants directly by their trainer.
