Aquatics Center Closed for Major Upgrades

The JCC Aquatics Center will be undergoing a major upgrade this winter!
To enhance your experience, we’re upgrading our pool with brand-new epoxy decking and a fresh coat of paint, transforming the space into a sleek, vibrant, and more modern environment. While our Aquatics Center is closed for these improvements, we’re pleased to offer an alternative lap swimming options at both the University of Richmond Robins Center Natatorium, and SwimRVA—Meadowbrook Country Club for JCC members.
Why We’re Upgrading to Epoxy Decking
Durability & Longevity
Epoxy decking is known for its exceptional durability. Unlike traditional concrete or other materials, epoxy is highly resistant to damage from the elements, pool chemicals, and heavy foot traffic. This means a longer-lasting surface that can withstand the wear and tear of daily use, saving time and money on future repairs.

One of the standout features of epoxy pool decking is its slip-resistant surface. The textured finish reduces the risk of slips and falls, especially in wet conditions, making it a safer choice for swimmers, families, and anyone using the deck area.
Easy Maintenance
Epoxy is incredibly easy to clean and maintain. Its smooth, non-porous surface prevents the absorption of dirt, oils, and pool chemicals.

Alternative Lap Swimming Option: University of Richmond Robins Center Natatorium
While our Aquatics Center undergoes this transformation, we are pleased to offer JCC members complimentary access to the Robins Center Natatorium at the University of Richmond. This state-of-the-art, indoor facility includes a six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool with both a low and high dive and is just a short drive away and offers the perfect opportunity to maintain your swim routine while we work on enhancing your JCC pool experience.
Access Hours
- Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM & 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Please note, pool will be unavailable Sunday, March 9 and March 16 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. due to special events. Additionally JCC members will not be using the weekday evening recreational swim hours from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., as these times are busier and reserved for University of Richmond members.
How to Access the Pool
- Present your JCC Membership ID at the entrance
- Sign In at the “JCC Members” notebook upon arrival
- Pool and Locker Room Access Only: Please note that only the pool and locker room areas are available for use (no access to fitness facilities)
- Parking: Convenient parking is available in Lot C66. For detailed directions to the lot, please consult the University of Richmond campus map.
- Bring Your Own Towel: Towels will not be provided, so please remember to bring your own.

Alternative Lap Swimming Option: SwimRVA—Meadowbrook Country Club
While our Aquatics Center undergoes this transformation, we are pleased to offer JCC members complimentary access to the lap pool at SwimRVA-Meadowbrook Country Club. This “bubbled” facility includes a six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool with a deep water dive well and is just a short 20-minute drive away and offers the perfect opportunity to maintain your swim routine while we work on enhancing your JCC pool experience.
Welcome to SwimRVA – Meadowbrook!
SwimRVA-Meadowbrook is located at Meadowbrook Country Club’s pool. It is located at the North side of the golf course near the putting green and clubhouse.
Important Update for Weinstein JCC Members:
While the pool at 5403 Monument Avenue is under construction, members can access the indoor “bubbled” lap pool and dive well at Meadowbrook Country Club from Monday, February 17 – Monday, April 14
Pool Hours at Meadowbrook Country Club:
- Monday: 6:00 Am – 12:00 PM
- Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Please bring your Weinstein JCC member ID, as well as towels, toiletries, and any other swim gear you may need.
Please note: There is a toddler recreation pool on the campus, but it is outdoors, not enclosed, and unavailable for use during the winter season.
SwimRVA - Meadowbrook Directions:
Please enter at the Meadowbrook Country Club Entrance at 3700 Cogbill Road, Richmond, VA 23234

- Please do NOT enter from Monza Dr
- Continue down this road until you enter the Meadowbrook Country Club Parking lot
- Once in the parking lot, head to the top right corner of the parking lot to reach the parking lot for the pool
SwimRVA - Meadowbrook Amenities:
- Heated pool (84°) and air inside the artifical structure (“bubble”)
- Heated shower, bathrooms and changing rooms located on the pool deck as you enter the pool gates to the left.
- Bleacher seating inside the bubble located right next to the pool
- Children’s playground right outside pool gates
- Designated parking lot for Weinstein JCC Members located next to the pool
- Walk to the right side of the building and enter through the pool gate next to the playground
Friendly Reminders:
- This is a private club. Please keep music down when driving through the parking lots.
- Please stay off of the putting green at all times.
- Only enter through the main entrance to the bubble.
- There is NO access to the clubhouse or pro shop.
- Please be courteous to all golfers and keep noise to a minimum outside of the bubble.
