Teen Camps (Grades 7-12): Service & Adventure

Our teen camps are for youth in grades 7-12 and are geared towards helping campers develop leadership abilities through service, adventure, learning and fun.

Camp Hilbert Peer Camper

Grades: 10 - 12
Dates: June 17 - August 16
Peer Campers participate in the full Camp Hilbert experience while working directly with a child with special needs. As a Peer Camper, you will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills and the ability to work alongside our dynamic staff. Voices Together Peer Camper

Grades: 8 - 12
Dates: July 29 - August 16
Voices Together is a safe and structured day camp for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Teen volunteers play an enormous role in making this the premier program for children with Autism. As a Peer Camper in Voices Together, you will enjoy being part of a full camp program and also have an amazing experience working with a remarkable staff and group of campers. Counselors In Training (CIT)

Grades: 9 & 10
Session One: June 17 - June 28
Session Two: July 1 - 12

Our Counselor in Training (CIT) program is designed for those entering 9th and 10th grade who want first-hand leadership and staffing experience, while still enjoying time for social interaction. Our CITs participate in team-building, leadership training, and experience a summer they will never forget. CITs must commit to two weeks with us, but we encourage them to spend all four weeks to get the full experience. Each week will focus on a new set of skills and development topics. Our program is cumulative, so the lessons are progressive from 9th grade to 10th grade.

CIT Program Includes:
  • Orientation and training prior to camp
  • Volunteer services
  • First Aid/CPR certifications
  • Intro to lifeguard skills/ training
  • Job preparations (creating resumes and completing job applications; interview skill training, mock interview with the director)
  • Community service projects
  • Leadership skill and development workshops
  • Team-building activities and group projects
  • Practical experience working with children
  • Field trips every other week that include Kings Dominion, archery, high ropes course
  • One overnight at the Weinstein JCC
  • Outdoor survival skills
  • Cooking Israeli cuisine
  • Stipend and certificate

Ganim Volunteer Corps (GVC)

Grades: 7 - 12
Dates: June 17 - August 9
9AM - 12PM
GVC is designed to help participants meet their schools' community service requirements while still having an exciting, fun and meaningful time at camp. Each participant will be placed in a Camp Ganim group to assist the counselors and will have the opportunity to learn valuable skills working with children.
Weekly Cost: $50 for Members, $75 for Non-Members
