Middle school students are invited to create a collaborative and interactive art piece to be presented and displayed during the Global Day of Jewish Learning event held at the JCC on November 13, 2022. The 6-8th graders will be guided to form their own concepts of tikkun olam while responding to this year’s Global Day of Jewish Learning theme of rebuilding. Later the interactive art piece will be moved to the Virginia Holocaust Museum.

The JCC’s Youth and Family Community Engagement Coordinator Holly Markhoff, along with middle school parent Millie Becker, will facilitate the program. As an artist and a Jewish educator, Holly will guide the middle schoolers to create a meaningful, collaborative at piece. Students can earn community service hours for their participation.
