HOPE is more than just an art exhibit featuring the work of a small group of accomplished and well-respected artists in our Richmond Jewish community. HOPE is also a 9-month educational, cultural and artistic gathering of these artists who, through their shared experiences at a multitude of arts and culture events at the Weinstein JCC, explore what hope means -- to the community, to the Jewish people, and to them personally. Drawing on their inspiration, along with their own personal connection to their Jewish heritage, each artist creates a collection of art work to share. The opening and reception for HOPE will take place on Tuesday, May 5 at which time each artist will share their artwork with the community, reflect on their experiences and, in turn, bring connection and enhanced meaning to our Arts + Ideas subscription series season finale, Violins of Hope Chamber Music Concert which will take place on Wednesday, May 20.
