The Jewish roots of the late composer, Leonard Cohen, run deeper than his iconic song, Hallelujah. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Cohen grew up steeped in Jewish life and learning. Canadian folksinger, Batsheva, holds the only authorized translations for Cohen’s songs in Yiddish and Hebrew. The audience will learn about Cohen’s intensely Jewish roots- and hear his music – in Yiddish, Ladino, and Hebrew. This is an in-person event.
