Attention Members: Although we do not know the exact time horizon, currently the Weinstein JCC will remain CLOSED until we are directed by the medical and health authorities that it is safe to reopen. We are navigating together the emotional and economic impact social distancing will have on our lives and community; however, it is our collective responsibility to comply with mandates and guidelines to stop the virus from spreading. Childcare: Hands-on Curriculum in a Nurturing Environment

The Dora L. Lewis Family & Child Development Center offers fully licensed childcare programs serving children ages 2–5. Childcare programs are offered from 7:30–9:00 a.m. and after the preschool morning classes from 12:00–6:00 p.m.

Developing Young Minds

The purpose of education in the Weinstein JCC Early Childhood program is to develop young children’s minds, bodies, and emotions, as well as produce individuals who are self-directed and lifelong learners.

Our student teacher ratio is typically between 1:8 with students ranging in age from 2 to 5-years-old. This low student to teacher ratio along with our family grouping allows our staff to create a nurturing, homelike environment for our young children!

Our Center is the area’s only early childhood education program that is housed in a full modern community center, complete with indoor pools, two gymnasiums, an auditorium, a dance studio, large classrooms and award-winning, certified outdoor playgrounds and gardens. See below for more of our exciting offerings!
