Preschool Aquatics Level 1

For first time young swimmers who are not yet comfortable in the water

Instructor: Aquatics staff
Ages 3 – 5
Class size limited to 6

Level 1 orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatics skills. These skills include entering and exiting the water, blowing bubbles through mouth and nose, submerging mouth, nose and eyes, opening eyes underwater and retrieving submerged objects, front and back gliding, back floating, rolling from front to back and back to front, treading water, alternating and simultaneous arm and leg actions on front and back, combining arm and leg actions on front and back and age-appropriate water safety skills.

If your child is a half or full-day JCC Preschool student then a JCC Aquatics staff member will pick up from their preschool classrooms. Parents/guardians will need to pick their swimmers from the pool.
