The Center’s membership year is based on the fiscal year September 1 through August 31. All memberships are based upon one full year. Payment by cash, check, credit card or monthly debit are accepted. Joining fees are non-refundable. Membership is not transferable nor refundable and will be automatically renewed at the prevailing rates and payable unless 30 days written notice of cancellation is received by the Weinstein JCC Membership office after the first year of commitment. Always present your Weinstein JCC photo ID card upon entering the facility. Replacement cost of a lost card will be $10.00.
In order to most effectively communicate any urgent needs or changes related to the Center and our programs, we use a messaging service that allows us to send short customized notifications by text, voice, app, email, and other channels to keep you as up-to-date as possible. In order to opt-in for this new service, please go to our online sign-up form where you will enter your name, email and cell phone number, as well as choose what department(s) you would like to receive messages from. Please note: this system is in addition to our regular Center communications and will only be used for emergency alerts and other important messages.
Members have the option to opt-out of this service at any time, but it is our hope that this added form of communication will allow us to more quickly and directly let you know of any changes you need to be aware of, including weather-related delays/closings, program cancellations or other high priority messages. Thank you for signing up for this new service to allow us to more effectively communicate Center changes with you!
Small lockers are available for rent at $60 per year in the adult locker rooms. We will provide a lock at the time of rental. If you are not renting, feel free to use any open locker on a daily basis. We encourage bringing your own lock to secure your belongings when using daily as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
We have limited funds available for anyone in need of assistance who may want to become a member or participate in programs. Contact Membership Director Randi Amar at (804) 545-8635 for details.
To meet the social, recreational and educational needs of those with disabilities, we offer a selection of activities and services. If you require special accommodations please call (804) 285-6500.
Guests of members are welcome. Each guest may visit up to three times per year. A member must accompany all guests. Daily guest passes are $10 per adult and $5 per child and must be paid for by check, cash, or credit card upon arrival. We welcome all traveling JCC members. Please call the Membership Department at (804) 285-6500 for our reciprocity rules.
We observe Kashruth (kosher) as interpreted by the Va’ad Hakashruth of Richmond. Before bringing a bag meal for any program, please ask for a copy of the Center’s Kashruth guidelines.
At the Weinstein JCC, the safety of our members, guests and staff is our first priority. For that reason, in the event of severe inclement weather, the published hours of operation may have to be modified. The decision to close the facility, delay openings or close early is based on the weather forecast, current unstable weather and projected unsafe driving conditions. Because our organization is complex, inclement weather may affect each department and service differently. We endeavor to provide whatever programs and services are possible, given the specific requirements of the program and the effect severe weather can have on the facility, accessibility and staff availability.
